Sultan is one of the most awaited movie releasing in 2016. It is an indian sports drama film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by aditya chopra under the banner of Yash raj films starring Salman Khan and Anushka sharma  in lead roles. Salman is playing the role of a haryana-based wrestler so he has done a training under the guidance of Larnell Stovall. Music  of this movie is by vishal shekhar.

Box office collection prediction

Sultan is a most awaited movie of this year in which salman khan is playing a role of wrestler so it is full of action and drama But having a clash with Raees is a big problem for its collection. It is expected to earn a minimum of 20 crore on its first day as it is a salman khan film and based on his last 5 years collection on EID it will definetly crosses 20 crore mark on first day. In three days or first weekend it will manage to cross 50 crore mark, it will cross 100 crore mark within 4 to 5 days and overall or total collection is more than 500 crores.

First day collection- 25 to 27 crore.
Second day collection- 22 to 25 crore.
third day collection- 22 to 25 crore.
First weekend collection- 60 to 80 crore.

Release Date

The movie is sheduled to release on 8th of july in 2016 but the date may be extended as it is having a clash with Sahrukh Khan starrer movie Raees.

Salman Khan is playing the role of Sultan Ali Khan in this movie and after so many rumours anushka sharma is finalised for this movie.

Casting and Development

The project was earlier announced in June 2015 with a teaser released on YouTube. Khan will be seen portraying Haryana-based wrestler in the film. Khan underwent into wrestling training under the guidance of Larnell Stovall.

In October 2015, there were reports of American actor Sylvester Stallone being cast in the film as Khan's on-screen coach. However, Raja Mukerji, the Executive Producer of the film cleared that Stallone won't be starring in the film. Later, Sanjay Dutt was then rumored to play the role of coach according to Khan's insistence,however, Khan reported that he never insisted Aditya Chopra for Dutt's role.

In December 2015, Randeep Hooda was later signed to play the role of Khan's coach in the film. Amit Sadh, of Kai Po Che fame has been signed for the role of young Sultan. MMA fighter Tyron Woodley has been signed opposite Khan with other fighters in the film

In January 2016, it was announced that Anushka Sharma is the leading lady of the film.

Filming

Principal photography started in October 2015 where Khan posted a photo of his character in the film on Facebook. The first schedule of the film started in December 2015 at N.D Studios, Karjat and JW Marriott Mumbai, Juhu. Filming of the first schedule had been completed in late December 2015. Filming of the second schedule was started in January 2016 where Khan filmed for action sequences.
