Aishwarya Rai (born 1 November 1973), known as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after her marriage, is an Indian actress and the winner of the Miss World pageant of 1994.

This year(2015) she is filming Sanjay Gupta's action-thriller Jazbaa, with Shabana Azmi and Irrfan Khan as co star. which will mark her screen comeback after a five-year absence from the screen. She has committed to star alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in Karan Johar's romantic drama Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Rai will also play the lead role of Dalbir Kaur in a biopic of Sarabjit Singh.
